When TDN migrates a practice to Ascend, they typically do a workflow analysis to see where they’re able to save on productivity and labor with improved processes, and those cost savings can vary between $10,000-$15,000 annually. “The total cost of ownership goes down in supporting the PMS, and we don’t have to worry about maintaining hardware or software,” said Wilson

A better patient experience

Practices who have made the switch to online scheduling and digital forms are seeing enormous cost and productivity savings. TDN did a cost analysis, and they would see savings of around $100,000 by moving all of their practices to Ascend’s digital patient communication tools.

They’re also seeing huge benefits from Ascend’s Online Forms. “The biggest benefit is the customization. Some of our doctors take a lot of pride in their patient correspondences, and they’re now able to customize them with pictures and logos,” said Wilson. “We're also sending fewer forms because we can put more information on a single form. That's been a benefit for our patients, too.”

Eligibility Pro is saving TDN’s teams time – something they can never find enough of. Staff have nearly eliminated time spent on the phone getting payor information.

In fact, Wilson estimates offices are saving at least four hours a week. "I think that estimate is scratching the tip. If we used it in all of our practices and more efficiently, the savings would be even higher,” said Wilson.

Smarter security

TDN has prioritized putting strong security processes in place to provide identity protection to their employees. They also ensure software is updated, role-based access controls are in place, and they’re consistently backing up data.
