Challenge
Areo Dental’s expansion to six offices revealed a few significant challenges with their traditional, on-premise dental software:

Staff no longer have to make patients wait or risk losing them to another practice because it takes 45+ minutes to get detailed breakdowns from insurance companies. “It’s been super impactful and saves our teams a ton of time. We’ve found that 80% of our verifications are done through Ascend right now,” said Nagaraj.
Claims sent in seconds
Ascend also makes it easy to batch and send claims at the end of the day. The system immediately lets the team know if a claim is missing information or attachments, speeding up the process and ensuring things aren’t falling through the cracks.
“If you saw 50 patients in one day, you can literally send out all of those claims in seconds,” said Nagaraj.
Increased patient payments
Ascend’s digital payment capabilities have eliminated the time-consuming task of manually sending paper statements.
“Having text to pay has been a game changer for us. Rather than waiting for somebody to print out statements, seal them, address them, and send them out, we now send out statements with the click of a button,” said Gaglani.
